1. What is served for lunch?
Deluxe Picnic Style Lunch
2. How much time is spent swimming?
Approximately 45 minutes (depending on weather conditions)
3. How much of the tour is spent outside of the bus?
About 50%
4. Where does the tour pick me up?
We pick up our passengers at most hotels on Maui’s south and west side, and Kahului Airpor
5. Is there a restroom on the bus?
No. motorcoaches with restrooms cannot fit on the Road to Hana. Frequent stops are made in our minibus.
6. Will it be cramped inside the bus?
No. Our 24 passenger mini coaches are designed for touring comfort complete with air conditioning, huge viewing windows, and reclining captains chairs.
7. How close will I get to the lava?
There is no active volcano on Maui.
8. How do we know who is picking us up?
All of our vehicles are marked with Discover Hidden Hawaii Tours. Also, our tour guides will be wearing red Polo shirts and calling out your name when they reach your hotel.
9. What is your cancellation policy?
TOURS WITHOUT AIRFARE:
Changes and cancellations are allowed up to 48 hours prior to tour commencement without penalty.
No-shows and changes or cancellations within 48 hours are subject to a full charge.
No refunds are available once a tour has commenced.
TOURS WITH AIRFARE:
Due to airline tickets restrictions, all tours which include airfare are non-refundable once the reservation is purchased.
Airline tickets are non-changeable and non-transferable.
To request a change or cancellation, please call us at 1-877-333-9588.
10. If my plans changes may I change my reservation?
Yes, if you want to change your tour or tour date you can do so up to 48 hours prior to the tour by calling our toll free number at 1-800-946-4432.
11. Is there a charge for changing a reservation?
No there is no charge for changing a reservation.
12. Does your company have all required permits?
Yes, you can feel safe to be working with a reliable and stable company with the Public Utilities Commission and State and Federal permits and requirements.
13. Does your company have insurance?
Yes, we carry a $2 million auto and general liability insurances.
14. What kind of training do you offer your tour guides?
Our tour guides are our main assets to us. After completing a 2 weeks training in safety, Hawaiian culture, History, customer service and defiance driving they become Hawai'i's Ambassadors of Aloha.
15. What type of vehicles do you use?
We use deluxe air-condition mini-coaches that seat up to 25 passengers and 12 passengers executive vans.
16. Are your vehicles air-conditioned?
Yes, all of our vehicles are air-conditioned.
17. Can I request a front seat?
Yes, please call us at 1-877-333-9588 or email us requesting front seat for disabled passengers.
18. Does your company have a maintenance program?
Yes, we follow the pre-maintenance program recommended by the vehicle manufacturer to ensure our safety and limit vehicle malfunctions.
19. How often do you change your vehicles?
We change our vehicles every 3 years.
20. What happens if a vehicle brakes down during the tour?
Although this rarely happens we are prepared to send one of our stand-by vehicles to the scene immediately.
21. Can your vehicles accommodate collapsible wheelchairs?
Yes, our vehicles can accommodate collapsible wheelchairs. Please advise of your special needs by call us at 1-808-690-9050.
22. Can you provide or rent wheelchairs?
No, presently we do not provide or rent wheelchairs.
23. Does your vehicle have a wheelchair lift?
No, unfortunately our vehicles do not have wheelchair lifts.
24. Do you have a child rate?
Yes, our child rate applies to children between the ages of 2 and 11 years old. Lap children that do not use a seat travel at no charge. Child's Rate applies only to those tours WITHOUT airfare.
25. Do you provide or rent car seats?
No, we do not provide or rent car seat at this time. The law does not required car seats on tour buses.
26. Can I bring a car seat?
Yes, you will be charged the child rate.
27. Are tours suitable for infants?
Yes, we do ask of the parents to keep their children under control at all times for the child's safety and the enjoyment of others. Hiking tours are not recommended for infants.
28. Do you stop for snacks / lunch?
Yes, all of our tours stop for snacks on the short tours and lunch on the full day tours. You will have time to feed your baby.
29. Do you have bathroom stops?
Yes, we have scheduled bathroom stops along the routes. Should you required additional stops please let your tour guide know at the beginning of the tour and we will be more than happy to accommodate your request.
30. Is there a lot of walking?
No, we do a lot of stops for picture taking to give you the opportunity to experience Hawaii. All of the stops on our Island tours & Pearl Harbor Tours are just a few yards from the mini-buses and therefore you do not need to walk far. If you prefer to stay on the bus, you can take pictures from your seat. The only tours the required walking are the Hiking tours.
31. I have a medical condition; is it safe to go on tours?
For your safety, please check with your doctor and ask him / her of the tour you want to take and follow his/her instructions.
32. Do you have any experience working with Seniors?
Yes, we have been working successfully with seniors groups since we started and we love it.
33. Can your vehicle accommodate collapsible wheelchairs?
Yes, our vehicle can accommodate collapsible wheelchairs. Please advise of your special needs by calling us at 1-877-333-9588.
34. Are your tour guides trained for emergencies?
Yes, our professional guides are certified in first aid, water safety and CPR. We also carry first aid kits and mobile phones.
